Old Testament Characters...



Penny from Heaven - God is sending out angels to help mankind understand the "Instruction Book". Penny, an angel assists in this task.




Noah’s Wife’s Koffee Klatch - a group of women who play bunko and mahjong and discuss the building of “that large boat.”



 
Noah's Daughter-in-law - The ladies stay home as the men gather wood to build the ark, but all is not easy keeping the home fires burning.




  Sarai’s Next Tent Neighbor - A neighbor for years tells the story of God’s call to Abram and Sarai and the surprise pregnancy.


Martha Stewartstein/Rachel Rayburg - Ladies in the desert-what to cook tonight? Read Martha and Rachel’s new cookbook.




  Lot’s Wife - Contemporary language and circumstances recreate the story of Lot and his family as they prepare to leave Sodom. Uses two characters to tell the story.



Aaron’s Wife - This helpful wife points out to her husband the fact that he should be the leader of God’s people since he is the eldest and he is a priest.



The Hebrew Slaves - The story of Joseph told by one who had been enslaved and had only heard the story from her grandmother.


The Promised Land - A mother and her children finally approach the promised land with great anticipation.


A Friend for Such a Time as This - King Xerxes (Ahaseurus) needs a new wife. Virgins from throughout the kingdom are gathered together as the search continues. A young orphan, Hadassah, is chosen. Her friend, who was also taken from her home, tells their story.




New Testament Characters...

Anna - The mother of Mary tells of the virgin birth from her point of view.



The InnKeeper’s Wife -
Cleans out the stable for Mary and Joseph and delivers Jesus.




Broken - A childhood friend relates the story of the woman at the well from childhood, through her multiple marriages to the day she met Jesus at the well.



The Hostess with the Mostess - Excitement cannot be contained as the lady of the house prepares for a visit from the “Teacher” only to see a hole forming in her ceiling as the paralytic is lowered down to be healed.



The Room Upstairs - The wife of the man that rented the room for Passover tells about the events of that night as she replenishes their food and listens in on the conversation.



Her Son - The crucifixion told by the mother of the young soldier who drove the nails into the King of the Jews.




The Cleaning Lady - Irritated by men gathering in the room that she just cleaned, our lady realizes that an innocent man has been condemned.


Peter’s Daughter - Peter’s daughter tells the story of meeting Jesus at the edge of the water with her mother, father, and his friends and continues to relate the events that occurred through the death of Peter and his wife.



Judas’ Wife - A wife of 20 years tells the human side of a husband who made incredibly bad choices.



Abacus - An early (male) accountant, loves figures, but can’t reconcile and explain the miracles of Jesus.



The Girl Next Door - A childhood playmate tells her Mom of how she was chosen first for a game because Jesus was the team captain. She is usually chosen last.

King Spike/Tom Boy - Same character played as boy or girl depending on audience. This character is a tough cookie with a soft heart. Jesus steps in to heal a bird that has been killed by this character.



Teenager - A (male) teenage friend of Jesus’ marvels at his intelligence and stories that he tells.



Young Shepherd/Shepherdess -
A young shepherd, allergic to sheep follows the star to a stable where he/she finds a newborn baby.



The Little Sister - (in production) A younger sister of Jesus “worships” her big brother.



A Dancing Girl - (in production) The parade begins and with great anticipation, a young girl follows and dances as the Ark of the Covenant is carried into Jerusalem.
